Let’s start with a definition from several sources.
“Retail.” The Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary, Merriam-Webster Inc.
“The sale of commodities or goods in small quantities to ultimate consumers”
"Retail is the process of selling consumer goods or services to customers through multiple channels of distribution to earn a profit."
"The selling of goods to consumers; usually in small quantities and not for resale."
You may be thinking of switching careers and want to evaluate a retail career. At first glance, you may feel that you know what retail marketing is all about. After all, you shop at department stores and buy things at the hardware store.
We learned from the definitions above that we are talking about delivering goods and services directly to the end-use and you earn a profit doing so.
It is more that just providing goods.

It is more than just registering payment for the product.
