This is not really management, but it deserves to be listed. You work in the entry-level position of gathering and analyzing data regarding the company’s logistics. One should have good computer and math skills.


logistics engineer

You would not only analyze the supply change and logistics systems, but would work to provide and implement solutions to improve the process.

customer service

You would act as an intermediary between the customer and the logistics group.  Knowledge of the basics of logistics would prove valuable to be successful.


demand planning analyst

You would the inventory levels of the goods in stock. You may also be involved in purchasing goods as needed.  Analysis of billing versus inventory is a major part of this role.

Procurement manager

You find material suppliers, develop relationships and enter into contract for the goods. Some logistic companies, such as delivery services, do not have a need for this role.
