He talks about balance and happiness in life. Life always moves, so you need to move too. He brings our five (5) steps to take to make the best of any situation and gain satisfaction.

A few of his points that he brought out are:

  1. You need to make a map. - Don’t compare yourself to others. It is better to figure out where do you want to be, especially in 10 - 20 years.
  2. You need to learn something. - Nobody knows everything. We can all continue to learn. Find a way to grow.
  3. You have a lack of visibility. - Be creative and expand your views. See the broader picture.

  • Sometime you don’t know what you don’t know. - Finance is part of any business, so you could land in any field.

A recent survey indicated that as a result of the pandemic some people wanted a role that will allow them to work from home. Others wanted to turn their hobby into a career.

Actually, it could be beneficial in some cases to discuss your hobby. It is better if it makes sense to the role. Think just how your hobby skills fit in with and will contribute to the new job. Describe how it can impact your approach.

Some industries like banking may not be the ones in which to insert hobbies. Others may work well. Try to figure out how the employer may value your hobby skills. Find out more in the article below.
