Top 5 Reasons Data Analytics is a Good Career Choice

Alex Freberg develops a good video where he discusses these five (5) great reasons to consider a career as a data analyst. If you are not certain about your future career, this video will give you something to think about.

Let me jump in to give you a feel for what is ahead in the video. The reasons he gives are:

  1. The demand is growing. There were 150,000 postings for data analyst positions at the end of 2020.
  2. One gets to work in a lot of different technologies.
  3. There are many different industries in which data analysts are needed. This allows for one to switch to different industries, if desired.
  4. The skills for a data analyst overlap for many jobs. Again, this allows for one to switch careers more easily.
  5. The need is continuing to grow so the future is stable for this role.

How To Fight Working-From-Home Fatigue

Robin Madell of Yahoo!News wrote this article to address issues that have risen over the past year and will continue for quite a while. Working from home is here to stay.

Staying with you screens on your home computer can really ware you down. All sort of physical issues such as headaches, wrist pain and others can creep in.

A few of the actions he suggests are:

  • Get up and move around.
  • Move your laptop to the kitchen counter - helps you stand up from time to time.
  • Keep moving during virtual meeting - Do the seated leg abduction by wrapping a resistance ban around your legs at the knees, the ope and close your legs slowly.
